It has been a great, big, busy week at Elevated Nesting! Thank you all so much for continuing to show up as I grow this little nest. I’m so grateful to all of you for subscribing to my emails (you can “Join The Conversation” down on the right). I plan to broaden the content of the emails to include fresh new information very soon! I also appreciate all of the wonderful comments on this site as well as Instagram and Facebook!
As we continue to grow this community, my hope is that we become a source of inspiration, support and knowledge for each other. I have exciting plans to expand the ways we can connect, but in the meantime I am so inspired by your questions, thoughts, and experiences. Please, keep sharing them with me, either via comments or email me directly (here)!
We covered a lot this week!
On Monday, we discussed “A Synergistic Approach to Supplements” (link). There are thousands of supplements out there, so I shared a resource for finding “clean” supplements and discussed how we can target ways to support our specific health needs and goals.
On Tuesday, we expanded the supplement conversation with “Collagen, Creatine, and Bonus Treats” (link). I shared some studies that demonstrated the benefits of Collagen and Creatine for us as we age, and discussed the safety parameters of those supplements. I also shared some fun treats, including my recipe for a simple, delicious Homemade Granola!



On Wednesday, we did a deep dive into learning about some of the reasons for the confusion and misinformation about hormone replacement with “Hormone Replacement Therapy: Why is there so much Conflicting Information?” (link). This was a complex breakdown into some of the history and shifts in the medical perspectives on HRT. It was definitely not a simple read, but my goal for all of us is to have a thorough understanding of the “why’s and how’s” of our health and healthcare. Thank you for the great feedback on this one!

On Thursday, we had a little fun with “Creating a Sleep Environment to Elevate our Zzzz’s” (link). My infatuation with my Bed Jet runs deep, and I gave you all a first hand look at my “high maintenance” sleep needs! Sleep plays a critical role in our wellbeing as we Redefine Aging with Intentional Wellness. Women in midlife can face immense challenges with our sleep due to hormonal changes and the stress that comes with . . . life! Creating a calm (and cool!) environment that supports quality sleep is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves.


How is next week Thanksgiving?!? Even though it’s late this year, it still somehow feels like it snuck up on us. We’re off on an adventure this coming week, and I’ll bring you along on Instagram and Facebook. I’ll be back here on Monday and Tuesday posting new articles before Turkey Day!
In the spirit of the holiday, I’m wrapping up today with another quote from one of my favorite Peloton instructors/bff’s. (If you read last Friday’s post, you’ll understand this reference. If you missed it here’s a link!). My girl, Jess, says this at the end of most of her classes, and it really resonated with me today as I wrapped up a 30 Minute Full Body Strength class. I may have a bit of an obsession with Peloton . . . but at least it’s a healthy obsession!
