Wishing You the Happiest Holidays

I can’t believe this is my last post for 2024! I’ll be taking off the next couple of weeks to enjoy Christmas and New Year’s with our family. Today, I’m sharing a little preview of our Christmas (or more likely New Year’s) card featuring the highlight of our year . . . Emily and Joe’s September wedding in Rhode Island.

We have a lot of excitement coming up in the next few days! Tonight, we’re celebrating our friend Sue’s 60th birthday. In true Sue-Style, we’ll be boarding a bus and rolling into a Roller Skating Party! How many of my fellow Gen-Xers spent their Friday nights in Middle School at the roller rink skating to Foreigner and Rick James? It’s going to be an epic night!

Saturday, we’ll be sharing some sweet moments with three of our great-nieces. Then, on Sunday, Gareth, Clay, and I are flying to Rhode Island to spend Christmas with Emily, Joe, and my parents. After years and years of celebrating Christmas here in Colorado, we’ve spent that last handful in RI. As much as I love and appreciate our life in the mountains, my heart belongs to New England. Spending Christmas with my nearest and dearest in my happy place is an extra blessing, and I can’t wait to be there!

I am so grateful for this growing community. I want to thank each of you for taking this journey with me. I have already learned so much from you! I hope that you’ve gained a few tools, tips, and insights from this site to help you Redefine Aging in whatever way that means to you.

I have so many plans for Elevated Nesting in 2025, and I’m excited to share them with you! I’ll be back here to kick off the New Year with you on Friday, January 3rd. In the meantime, stay safe, be cozy, and soak up something magical this Holiday Season!
