It’s been a hectic but extra special week at Elevated Nesting because Clay came home from College in Boston on Tuesday!! As all empty-nester moms know, there’s nothing better than having your chicks back in your nest. Even though they always come home with a suitcase of dirty laundry. What’s up with that? Literally, everything he packed (including his coat) had to go straight to the laundry room.
We’re in our honeymoon phase of Winter Break now, and it’s all cozy and sweet. We have a weekend of FFF planned – Forced Family Fun. (Our kids came up with that when they were teenagers.) Now that they’re adults and not living at home, it’s much less “Forced” and much more Fun! Nevertheless, by January, we’ll all be in the “Maybe we should leave extra early for the airport” stage of Winter Break . . . so I’m enjoying this while it lasts.
Okay, real talk here – my week has been so busy that I literally just had to get onto my own website to remember all my posts so I could recap . . . yeesh.
Now that I’ve refreshed my memory 🙃 – On Monday, I shared my Immune Boosting formula! How could I forget that?!? It has truly been a consistent tool in my wellness toolbox. I have been taking Elderberry and Oregano Oil ~ as needed ~ for over three years, and it has been the healthiest period of my life in terms of not catching colds and other bugs. On Wednesday, I shared my journey (so far) with Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). I got several nice messages from readers telling me how much they related to my experience. A couple of others said that reading about how I came to the decision helped them come up with their own plan for determining whether HRT is right for them. On Thursday, I shared this photo of some of my incredible girlfriends from college and wrote about Magnesium. How do the two relate? Each of the women surrounding me in this photo embody what it means to be vibrant and thriving in midlife. They blow me away!
